Chief Executive
Chief Executive of Radix UK since 2019, Ben is a political strategist, writer and broadcaster. In 2021, he led the merger between Radix think tank and the Big Tent Ideas Festival and he continues to take overall responsibility for Radix Big Tent’s growing programme to promote system renewal.
Former Chief of Staff and Campaign Director for then Liberal Democrat Leader, Tim Farron MP, Ben was also previously Chief Executive of the Movement for Reform Judaism and prior to that a Partner at City Public Relations firm, Luther Pendragon.

A communications and public affairs professional focused on delivering policy recommendations, briefings and key findings to a political and industry-level audience. Formerly a Parliamentary Researcher for two Labour Members of Parliament with experience on the Defence Select Committee and International Development Committee.

Karla is a strategic project manager and policy specialist with a background spanning financial regulation, stakeholder engagement, and systems change. At the New Capital Consensus, she leads cross-sector programmes and manages strategic delivery across workshops and coalition-building. Her previous roles include leading green finance and AI initiatives at the Building Societies Association and advancing public policy campaigns in both the NGO and EU sectors. Karla is particularly interested in the intersection of economic reform, democratic renewal, and sustainable finance.

Sophie supports core operations across programmes and events at Radix Big Tent. She joined after volunteering for the Radix Big Tent Festival in Bristol 2022.
Sophie studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Bristol and also has interests in art, IT, and social media.

Dan Hedley is policy advisor in charge of the New Capital Consensus project, a joint venture between Radix Big Tent, Chatham House, FinSTIC (Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) and the University of Leeds.
Before that, he was director of public policy and government affairs for Fidelity International.

Anni has worked across commercial, political and not for profit sectors in her 25 years as a public relations consultant. Her client list has included such diverse organisations as a radiator manufacturer, local council, science start-ups and even a synchronised swimming team.
Most recently she has been focused on the campaigning sector. As Campaign Manager for the Equal Civil Partnerships Campaign she is part of the team who succeeded in introducing mixed-sex civil partnerships in England and Wales at the end of 2019.

Georgie has for many years worked in sales, fundraising and events; in 2012 she sold an events business. Immediately prior to joining the Big Tent in 2018 she was Head of Events at a military charity with responsibility for corporate fundraising as well as sponsorship and managing budgets.

Lesley Yarranton is an author, journalist and researcher. She has worked in Berlin, Paris and Washington DC. She has written for Radix Big Tent for the past five years, covering a range of issues including analysing and seeking solutions to Britain’s housing crisis.
