Public Service Reform
Our public services - whether heath, education or social services - are complex ecosystems that are in desperate need of reform. In particular, our health service remains focused on addressing acute illness, rather than keeping people well. We cannot keep up with the increasing costs of new treatments and an aging population, but for political reasons, policy-makers refuse to consider fundamental reforms. As a result, we will continue to lurch from crisis to crisis, until the point will come at which our public services will simply fall over.
To avoid this, over the past few years, Radix Big Tent has hosted numerous papers and events to put forward radical reforms to the UK’s public services, including our series Our Best NHS?
We will continue to be a platform for system change in public services and use our non-partisan status to prompt all the political parties to adopt the fundamental reforms needed to ensure our NHS and all our public services are fit for the 21st Century.
